Is there a way to reset the lock back to factory defaults erasing all the fingerprints?

Yes. To accomplish this you must remove the lock from the door. On the inside portion of the lock there is a small hole near the L/R switch. With the cover closed with the impact alarm on the outside piece is held down (the impact alarm switch is under the rubber gasket) insert a paper clip or other small stick into the hole (the hole on the inside part of the lock near the L/R switch) and hold it down until you hear 1 long beep - release it immediately after you hear the single long beep. When you hear this the lock is reset back to factory defaults. If you hear an alarm sound when performing this it means the impact alarm on the outside is not held down.
