Home Knowledge Database BD1 Centurion Biometric Fingerprint Deadbolt Lock The lock is not easily recognizing fingerprints or has stopped recognizing fingerprints.

The lock is not easily recognizing fingerprints or has stopped recognizing fingerprints.

Failure to recognize a fingerprint has a 99% chance of being a bad or poor quality enrolment. If you have a poor enrolment this will considerably effect the performance of the lock in everyday use.

Solution is to delete the offending fingerprint and re-enrol. When enrolling ensure the finger is placed firmly on the centre of the pad and the user does not move the finger during the enrolmebt process. We now offer fingerprint ENHANCEMENT pads for the locks for those who are having trouble enrolling. To use just wipe your finger with the enhancer pad prior to the enrolment (it is never needed again after that – only for enrolment). The pads increase the data points during the enrolment by 95%.
